Our Brewpubs
CALGARY
Last Best Brewing & Distilling opened in May 2015. Their name draws from Calgary’s eclectic history and the Canadian government’s ‘Last Best West’ campaign to populate the west and grow agriculture in Canada – this paved the way for the craft beer and distilling industries in Alberta. Last Best honours this spirit through their commitment to making delicious, handcrafted beer and spirits.
JASPER
Jasper Brewing Co. opened its doors in 2005 as Canada’s first National Park Brewery. Three of the founders are born and raised Jasper locals, who were driven to create beers that reflected the beauty and spirit of their hometown. Seventeen years later, ‘the brewpub’ has become a community hub that focuses on developing well-crafted beer and Alberta-inspired cuisine.
EDMONTON
Campio Brewing Co. was established in 2018 in Edmonton’s growing Ice District neighbourhood. With a beer program that ranges from the working man’s thirst-quenching brews to a sour program that pushes the palate, Campio wants to stress that their beers are to be drunk without a notebook in hand.
BANFF
Banff Ave Brewing Co. was founded in 2010 and has developed into a beer culture must-see for locals and tourists alike. Drawing strength from the dynamic Banff community and inspiration from the Rocky Mountains and wildlife, Banff Ave Brewing Co.’s fresh craft beer and delicious pub eats are not to be missed in the National Parks.
Our Beers
Bearhill produces five distinct craft beer brands including our four brewpubs and Babe Brewing. Like everything we do, our craft beer is rooted in our communities and we’re proud to offer quality products for everyone – from hop forward IPAs to easy-drinking fruity beers, to craft takes on classics like pilsners and lagers. We distribute core and seasonal packaged products around Alberta and continue to innovate new recipes in-house at each our brewpub locations.
Distilling
Since 2020, we’ve been making and bottling un-aged spirits as Last Best Distilling. Our range of unique and flavourful gins have garnered international awards from the World Gin Awards and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In addition to our core gins, we continue to release seasonal spirits and liqueurs, as well as premium canned cocktails. Coming 2023, Maligne Distillery based in Jasper will be launching aged spirits and whisky.
